Lumenata were tasked by this client to provide a new lighting solution to the front and rear facades of their property. This was to give the whole front façade an illuminated uplift and to have a more warmer and welcoming feeling to the property. The client also wanted the rear of the property to have a new lighting solution that gave them a better lit space to use in the evenings without having overly bright visible light sources.
We achieved our final solution through the use of slim wall mounted lights with either just downward light or up/down light distribution around the front façade with careful positioning and choice of the luminaires to provide pools of light around the front and side of the property with up/down versions used to highlight the higher areas of the property giving a very striking visual contrast overall.
To further enhance the entrance porch a surface mounted round version of the rear façade wall light was used to replace the old basic bulkhead which has resulted in a well lit but warm and inviting entrance area to the house.
The rear façade was illuminated using a small wall mounted decorative light fitting that featured horizontal bars across the lamp to reduce the visual glare of an exposed light – this allowed for soft, warm lighting to subtly bathe the patio and garden areas.
Our client was delighted in the finished result:
‘The scheme has really improved the lighting of our house, they look great don't they - it all looks very cool!’
