Winckley Square Apartment

Brief: To raise the light levels in a city centre apartment

Lighting can affect our mood, our wellbeing and even aid our recovery from illness. Lumenata is at the forefront of this ground breaking technology designing workplaces that make staff more productive and healthcare more effective that ultimately benefits the well being and recovery of its patients.
Lumenata was approached by an interior designer, who has worked with a Lancashire based client that had recently moved into a ground floor apartment which had low levels of natural light. After an initial consultation with the client, Lumenata were tasked with improving the lighting by raising the light levels in the apartment. The client was particularly interested in an innovative new product and how it can positively affect our mood and well being.
This innovative product is an electronic skylight that is installed in a ceiling giving the feel of bright sunshine even on the gloomiest of Lancashire days. The skylight changes colour and intensity as the day progresses in a similar fashion to natural daylight. Two of these electronic skylights were installed in the lounge and the kitchen areas.
Result
As an independent lighting designer and supplier that is a leader in the field of how lighting affects our well being and mood, Lumenata was ideally placed to recommend the best lighting product for the situation in hand.
Our client was extremely pleased with the end result commenting:
